in here, you’ll find my own personal accounts of shows i’ve played, shows i’ve seen, my show schedule for the upcoming week, and maybe some other random things, once-in-a-while (almost ALWAYS).
so, this one’s a little late (yesterday being “hump”day and all), but i think that’s okay. i’m trying to stay outside of the box, as it were. besides, i haven’t REALLY had a show yet this week.
anyway…
TUESDAY NIGHT IN PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN was a blast! had rehearsal with Hailey Wojcik (CD release party at CRASH MANSION this Friday - rsvp at http://www.newyorkunderbelly.com to get in free - open bar from 9 to 10), and afterward sang with several of the most talented musicians i know on upcoming tracks for Jenny Owen Youngs and April Smith. we also had some snap and clap tracks for April that left some of us with bloody palms. OH! and have you ever cat-called an invisible woman? because it would seem that the boys of the session and i are now professional hoot-n-holler-ers.
LAST NIGHT AT ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL ON THE LOWER-EAST SIDE was sick. chek out what the line-up was… Lelia Broussard with Adam Christgau and Chris Kuffner, Bess Rogers & The Flux Capacitors, and The Age Of Rockets. THE SHOW WAS FANTASTIC!!! some of us were even called up on stage to sing “Beat It” with Bess. and for me, it ended just as it should. with a Bereket Doner Kabab and drinks back in brooklyn at Bar 4.
and now for what’s to come…
TONIGHT AT HANK’S SALOON IN BROOKLYN i’ll be playing with The Honeycutters from Asheville, North Carolina. THE SHOW IS FREE AND IT STARTS AT 10PM!!! come out and shake your American-Country-Blues away!!!
TOMORROW NIGHT AT CRASH MANSION is Hailey Wojcik & Her Imaginary Friends RECORD RELEASE PARTY!!! ITS A FREE SHOW AND THERE’S AN OPEN BAR!!! but, in order to get in free, you MUST rsvp at http://www.newyorkunderbelly.com. otherwise, you will be charged. THE OPEN BAR IS FROM 9-10 AND WE’RE SCHEDULED FOR 10 SHARP SO GET THERE EARLY AND DRINK UP!!!
